Student tours begin with a welcome, orientation, and introduction
to the Constitution Wall public art exhibit. A Museum docent will
then assist the group in completing their activity sheets as they
continue through the Museum on a self-guided tour. Appropriate
for third grade and older.
To complement tours of the Museum, we offer special educational
programs that explore California’s entry into the United States
and a program featuring Japanese American volunteers discussing
their internment experience during World War II.

life as well as be able to identify the Golden State’s symbols.

The California Museum Girl Scout Badge Programs
The California Museum offers Girl Scout badge programs for troop
members of all ages to complete. They are an interesting
and engaging way to learn and have fun! Currently we have three
badge programs – Folk Arts, My Heritage and Back to the Past –
that meet Girl Scout badge requirements. We provide all of
the materials – activity books and crafts supplies – except the
badge, which you will need to purchase on your own from Girl
Scouts. The cost is $7/girl and $5/adult and includes
Museum admission. We require a minimum of 30 girls for each
program and they can be scheduled whenever is convenient for
you. Please allow three hours to complete the
program. Free weekend parking is available.
History has a way of repeating itself, but not at The California
Museum. We have created engaging, timely and insightful exhibits
found nowhere else. Guests will gain a new appreciation for the
Golden State’s many cultural, technological and social
contributions through multi-media presentations, hands-on exhibit
pieces and contemporary historical analyses.
